FORT WORTH -- Billy D. Carter, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at a Justin area care center.
Memorial Service: 11 am Saturday at Altamesa Church of Christ, 4600 Altamesa Blvd. in Ft. Worth.
Bill was born in Hood County, the youngest of ten children on a family farm. He married Rolina Priddy in 1951 in Fort Worth. They raised four children during their 29 years of marriage. The business he built, BD Carter Construction Company, built apartment complexes all over the DFW area during the 1970's. In 1980, Bill met and married Carolyn Morrow. She was the mother of two young children and they created a loving family. Bill was an active member at Alta Mesa Church of Christ until his health declined. He has always loved God and served his church and community in many ways. Always a strong but gentle man, he will be missed by many. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Carolyn and his son, Michael Carter
He leaves behind his daughters, Deborah Giegoldt and husband Charles, Judy Carter, and Stacey Downs and husband Rickey; his sons, David Carter and Richard Carter; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
