William Dean Sayer, Sr. passed away peacefully on February 27, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Funeral service, 10 am Saturday, March 4, at Forest Ridge Memorial Chapel, 705 Airport Freeway, Hurst., Burial; Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitations; 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Forest Ridge Memorial Chapel.

Dean was born November 7, 1936 to William and Mabel (Ridpath) Sayer. He graduated from Holbrook High School in 1956. While in school Dean competed in many sporting activities and went on to hold a Nebraska state track record for many years. Dean completed his Bricklayer Apprenticeship in 1963 and began a lifelong career and passion for masonry. He built many homes, churches and commercial buildings during his career. Dean married Peggy in 1967 and they settled in Hastings, Nebraska. They had two children, Deana and Bill. Dean and Peggy moved to Texas in 2000. While in Texas, Dean enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and family. Dean is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Peggy, daughter Deana, son Bill, grandchildren, Emma, Lauren, Mason, Reese, Trigg, Burke, Bella, Micki, Chad, Shane and great grandchildren Alex, Andrew, Zeigh and Clete.
